We get a lot of questions here at FreeGovernmentCellPhones.net, and we’re more than happy to answer every one of them, especially since it seems those asking are not getting satisfactory support from the phone vendors themselves.
In order to better serve our readers, we are changing the way we handle support requests. While we still take questions via email, we now prefer to answer them on our Free Government Cell Phones Facebook page. Not only does this keep a permanent record of all the interactions in one place, but it also opens your question up to other readers of the page — other subscribers and potential subscribers of Assurance Wireless, Safelink Wireless, Reachout Wireless and other smaller vendors. You’ll have a better chance of getting answers that can really help you.
If you have a Facebook account, please stop by. If you don’t have your own question, you might be able to help someone else who needs assistance with understanding the Lifeline Assistance program, someone having problems filling out an Assurance Wireless application, a customer wondering where his Safelink rollover minutes went, a ReachOut customer trying to re-certify their phone, etc. Whatever it is, you may be able to help.
But mostly, it’s a friendly place. Come by and “Like” and “Share” the page to help more people in need find it so they too can learn how to receive their own free phone from the government.
We’re all in this together.

Cindy says
I have lifeline, I’m wondering if this includes Facebook for free like my service
Free Government Cell Phones says
You’ll need to enroll in a Lifeline plan that includes internet. What you do with it after that is up to you. Our understanding is that Facebook is free, but it is completely unrelated to the free government cell phone program.
Bobbi Sanchez says
I can’t get fb any more please help me
Free Government Cell Phones says
We can’t help you, Bobbi, because we are not your service provider. Call 6-1-1 on your free government cell phone to be connected to your customer service team.
Ralph Archer says
I recieved a phone but ,i cant call out and i through the box away can u help me
Free Government Cell Phones says
We were ready to say, call 6-1-1 on your free government cell phone, but that advice wouldn’t do you much good since you said you can’t call out.
Can you borrow a phone from a friend or relative and call the customer service team using the contact info on our providers page? Just click on your service provider’s name:

Jane says

Free Government Cell Phones says
Same way you access it on your computer.
Lynn Wiltse says
My safelink phone will not make calls and I need tech support but it will not call them either.
I need this fixed as it is my only phone and I am isolated.
Free Government Cell Phones says
Try going to the Safelink website and contacting them that way, Lynn.
Rachel levins says
I want to know how much free data do i get free txt and talk mins?
Free Government Cell Phones says
It’s entirely dependent on the individual service provider you enroll with. Each company offers their owns plans and they can vary widely.
Here’s what we’d suggest, Rachel: Click on the “States” link at the top of this page and then click on your state. You’ll find a complete list of all the companies offering phones in your state. Click through them all to find a plan that’s best for your needs.
Eric Watts says
On Jan.22 I applied, and I am still waiting for the pink envelope to arrive.
Amy Smith says
How can I get my call history from a specific date?
Free Government Cell Phones says
Depends on your phone model and service provider. Contact your service provider to ask that question.
Pamela Reynolds says
I applied & got a phone & 500 minutes, but my minutes were cut off at 350 minutes. I’m disabled, home bound, live alone, & can’t find anyplace to text or email them for help. I need to see why my minutes were cut, & when I’ll get more minutes. It’s frightening, being cut off from all access in an emergency, for a ride, & more. I look forward to your answer. Thank you. Cassie Hendershot says

Barb R.Kerbox says
I receive Food Stamps(SNAP) and am visually impaired. I had free Conexion phone service and it is terrible. I can’t read the screen because the screen is too small. I have had to return it.
Question:Will I be able to request a special phone and receive it, that I will be able to read?
Comment: About Conexion: Only gives 100 minutes/month, & I was always having minutes taken away, and no explanation. Once my phone was disfunctional for a whole week while thwey were upgrading, and then they took all my minutes away. I could almost never get them on the phone either.
They are NOT a good phone company.
Sincerely,
Barb Kerbox

I comment each time I especially enjoy a article on a site or I have something to valuable
to contribute to the conversation. Usually it’s a result of the fire displayed in the article I browsed. And after this article Free Support with Government Cell Phones, on our Facebook Page. I was actually moved enough to create a thought 🙂 I do have a couple of questions for you if you usually do not mind. Is it just me or do a few of these responses come across as if they are left by brain dead folks? 😛 And, if you are writing at other online sites, I’d like to
keep up with everything new you have to post. Would you
make a list all of all your social pages like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or
linkedin profile?
