Qualified Arkansas, Colorado and Nebraska applicants will receive the federal discount of $9.25 plus an additional state discount of $3.50. That means residents of these states can save $12.75 off any Viaero wireless plan (shown below).
There are two ways to qualify for the Nebraska Lifeline program: First, you may qualify if your household income is at or below 135% of the federal poverty guidelines.
But you can also qualify if you currently receive financial assistance from a state or federal program such as Nebraska Low Income Telephone Assistance Program (NTAP), Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA) or Section 8, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), Medicaid, National School Lunch Program’s free lunch program, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), or Children’s Health Insurance Programs (Kids Connection, SAM, MAC, and E-MAC).

Viaero Wireless offers a variety of low-cost Viaero “Simplicity” plans that start for as little $35 (minus your Lifeline discounts). The “Simplicity” plans include a very generous 700 minutes, 1000 texts, and additional features for a few extra bucks.
You may also want to consider one of the company’s feature-rich the Viaero2Go Prepaid Cell Phone Plans. You have your choice of the basic plan or the Unlimited Everything.
Viaero’s website makes a pretty bold offer and we hope they can deliver on it:
“Viaero exists to provide superior quality rural wireless service to our subscribers – making their safety, quality of life, and ability to communicate the equal of their urban counterparts. We will achieve this by providing superior coverage, access anytime, immediate personal customer service and a competitive product within our local borders, and a seamless connectivity of features and services outside of our borders.”
In support of that promise, Viaero has now opened 42 stores across Arkansas, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma and many parts of Colorado. (Remember, though, that Lifeline Discounts are only available in Arkansas, Nebraska and Kansas.)
