Total Call Mobile offers free government cell phones, but it also offers Lifeline Discounts in eight states. (EDITOR’S NOTE: Check out Total Call’s free government cell phone offers to see if they’re sufficient for your needs. If not, come back to this page to view their Lifeline Discount offers.) If that’s not enough for your needs, Total Call Mobile also offers “more robust” Lifeline Discount plans that give you extra minutes and extra services for a very reasonable price. These offers are limited to certain states.
The following plans available in Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Nevada, Texas, Utah:

They say, “As the nation’s first multi-ethnic MVNO, Total Call Mobile offers a suite of high-value, low-cost international voice and data services. Free Government Cell Phones says
Here’s a little free advice, John. Instead of flooding the Twittosphere with angry comments, do something that has a good chance to getting the attention of your service provider. Make an official complaint to the Federal Communications Commission and your state’s public utility commission. Here’s an article that tells you what you need to know:

You can cancel it if you contact them. Then are then supposed to remove you from the national database, and until that is done you will not be able to get a phone from another company. Hopefully they do this in a timely fashion.
