T-Mobile’s Lifeline Discount can save cash-strapped Americans as much as $13.50 per month. Even better, residents of Native American Tribal Lands may receive service for as little as $1 per month. They have branded their Lifeline program InReach.
T-Mobile says, “Qualified consumers can receive at least $10 off their monthly rate plan.” Since the standard Lifeline Discount is just $9.25 across the country, many readers may wonder where the extra 75¢ discount comes from. Well, say thank you to T-Mobile, because it has decided to take an extra 75¢ off the bills of its Lifeline customers. They money comes straight out of its own corporate pocket.
The T-Mobile Lifeline plan
T-Mobile offers a traditional postpaid Lifeline rate plan that costs $19.99 per month minus the applicable Lifeline discount. Since the Lifeline discounts are generally $10 per month (more in Puerto Rico and Oregon), you’ll end up paying $9.99 per month or less.
The plan includes 145 Whenever Minutes per month plus 500 night minutes and 500 weekend minutes. You’ll pay 5¢ per minute for any extra minutes you use. Of course, T-Mobile may make special offers available in select states and FreeGovernmentCellPhones.net will let you know about them as they are offered.
