Unemployment may be high and consumer confidence may be low, but FreeGovernmentCellPhones says there are 251 things to be thankful for at Thanksgiving approaches.
“Now you can get a free government cell phone plus 250 free minutes every month,” says Mark Henry, editor of FreeGovernmentCellPhones.net. “In today’s tough economy, that’s something to be really thankful for.”
It’s all thanks to Lifeline Assistance, a federal program designed to help needy Americans get cell phone service they desperately need to help them stay in touch with employers and land a job, to stay in contact with medical service providers, and to communicate with their family and friends.
You may qualify if you already receive government assistance via a wide range of programs – such as food stamps (SNAP), public housing assistance, Medicaid, Section 8 housing, Supplemental Security Income, various Home Energy Assistance Programs, National School Lunch and other programs. Or you can also qualify if your household income is less than 135% of government poverty guidelines (or even150% in some states).
“The Lifeline Assistance free government cell phone program is just what many needy Americans need,” Henry stated. “We give thanks that the program exists and that it helps so many needy Americans. Especially this time of year.”
