Conexion Wireless Free Cell Phones

<< All Free Cell Phone Providers

Unlike the major Lifeline program participants like Safelink Wireless, Assurance Wireless and ReachOut Wireless, Conexion Wireless is primarily a prepaid wireless phone company, but does also offer free cell phones from the government. Unfortunately, they currently only provide these Lifeline mobile phones in the states of Arkansas, Maryland and West Virginia.

However, for those of you in those states, we think you will still get the same general deal from them as you would from the other companies — a free cell phone, plus up to 250 free minutes each month. We say “we think” because there is not much information on their website; please an article we wrote on 6/9/11 called, Conexion Serves Arkansas and Maryland with Lifeline Free Phones, but Should You Use Them?

Do you qualify for a government cell phone from Conexion Wireless? You do if you receive assistance through any one of the following government programs:

  • Medicaid
  • Food Stamps
  • Supplemental Security Income (also know as SSI)
  • Section 8 Federal Public Housing Assistance
  • Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
  • Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Program (TANF)

You also may qualify if your income is at or less than 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
